A Hymn of Praise to Rain

Crystal clear, you precipitate from the heavens
You are one of a kind
There is nothing else like you
Coming from the heavens in rain and snow

Without you
Drought famine adn starvation befall us
without you rain we cannot survive

Dark and angry clouds emerge and you fall from the sky
Nourishing the land and bringing froth a bountiful harvest

When you rain down from the heavens onto our faces
It brings us great joy knowing that all will be well
So then as an act of embracing our joy
We shall dance in teh rain
Tilting our heads back and thrusting our arms outward
we spin in circles laughing as we rejoice

You bring us so much
we could not begin to name
All the gifts you have given us
For one thing leads to another
And yet another
But this we will name:
You give us the beauty of
A RAINBOW!
