The Suicide

She once was so happy
but that soon all changed.
When she moved to a new town
where the rumors were bad.

She couldn't stand it.
She lost all hope
for no one wanted to be
the friend of this outcast.

Days turned to weeks,
and weeks into months.
She became quieter
and didn't eat much.

Her life got even worse.
She knew the end was near.
First she chopped her hair short
and then started to cut herself.

"That's it!" she thought one day.
She glided into the bathroom
and grabbed and arrangement of pills.
Fourteen or so, and swallowed them whole.

She had giving up for good
and in about five minutes
she was no longer breathing
and all pulses had stopped.

All she left was her pale, tender body,
with her dirty blonde hair.
As well as a mysterious smile,
traced with happiness and depression.

Not a single good-bye.
She had left just like that.
And when she was found
word spread very fast.

Many questions were asked
all to forever be unanswered.
Most common one was
"Why did she swallow those pills?"

And that, my children, will never be known.
