Blind and Beautiful

When she sits there thinking, she never sees
She knows she's loved but refuses to believe
She's stubborn, really, she should have known
By now they thought she'd understand
It's not about self-hate, not for her,
All she wants is for someone to care
But she's refusing to see what she means
To others how flawless she seems
Frustration's gotten her down again
When they just hope she never leaves
She sells herself short,
No one can afford the price she's worth
But she's tired of waiting and ready to settle
For less is better than nothing at all
And she still doesn't see what they'd give for her
So she settles and frustration comes again
Her impatience turns to complications
She's waited so long, still hasn't had her day,
So she settles again never knowing what they'd say
And they'll stand by her side and show how they care
Even if she never knows they were there.
