Drowning

I’m drowning,
In the mess you’ve made.
I’m drowning,
And you just watch me fade.

I have made mistakes,
And for which I regret.
But since I’ve fallen, don’t fret,
As I raise the stakes.

If I win,
You admit to it all,
You admit to your sin,
You’ll crumble and fall.

If I lose,
I’ll say that it wasn’t you,
Who gave me this bruise,
That stains my heart too.

I’m drowning,
I can’t come out alive,
And so as I’m dying,
You’ll continue to thrive.

Okay,
So I lost,
And I now pay,
Every cost.

My life is gone,
My heart doesn’t beat,
My lungs are done,
And so are my feet.
