Opposites In Every Way

I cry here,
As my grip on you fades,
Most would say "She's lost everything,"
When I would say "I had nothing."

So I lie here,
Crying as you die,
In front of me.

Unable to do anything,
To change anything,
To give you my life.

I am unwanted,
You are wanted, essential.

I am nothing,
You are everything.

Complete opposites in every way,
From everyones point of view,
But connected by one tiny fragile string,
Tied to my heart,
Attached to your finger,
Severed now.

I would die for you,
Even though,
You won't spare me glance.

Why do I love you so?

Is it-
No,
It can't be,
Or can it?

Why don't you answer me?
While my heart bleeds,
From the gaping whole,
You left me,
As a parting gift.

Destiny.

An unsure question,
On my part,
An untruthful answer,
On yours.
