It's Only the Truth

Clouds swallow the moon and I'm alone,
thinking of good friends and why they go,
thinking of the past and why it went,
thinking of my family and the good times we spent.
But the sun is now rising and it's time to get real,
time to set aside all the feelings I feel,
time to realize my friends are the best,
time to revive all the memories at rest,
time to face the facts: my family's fucked up,
and stop facing the world like a beaten pup.
It's time for me now to stop hiding from pride,
and show everyone who I really am,
on the inside
