The Rose
The rose lying dead
Upon the drenched ground,
Bruised, hurt and broken
Her blood seeping away
Into the deeps of the night,
Her spirit floating gently
Away with the wind
There lay a rose,
Once precious, beautiful and fragile,
Now dead, abandoned and lost
All because one person
Didn’t have the heart to save her.
Upon the drenched ground,
Bruised, hurt and broken
Her blood seeping away
Into the deeps of the night,
Her spirit floating gently
Away with the wind
There lay a rose,
Once precious, beautiful and fragile,
Now dead, abandoned and lost
All because one person
Didn’t have the heart to save her.
