Blackness

The blackness
It's deep than a dark cave
It's bold and proud
It laughs in lights face
It doesn't care what you think
All it wants is to be left alone
To not be bothered
But when light becomes brighter
From the laughter of children
Blackness no longer laughs
It cowers
Hides
It does not want to be seen
The children's laughter frightens it
But yet it wants to take them away
To the darkness
Where they cannot laugh
But they keep it away
With laughter and joy
The blackness goes away
It stays in the shadows
Until the children go to bed
And the laughter ends
The blackness returns
Surrounds the children
And fills the room
The children are gone
But only for a night
Because tomorrow the laughter will come again
And darkness will hide once again
