Rainham Road

Grey mist clouds a drizzly existence,
Masking dull with dullness, as the hive
Slowly gathers in.

Beneath shades of misted monotone
Lurk sediments of polychrome
Faintly hinting hue.

Cross faced drivers slug through the mist. All
Face the gloom: another slow day
Trudging through the week.

But morning grows and sun dissolves smog, as
More join the fray. The Light lifts the pallet
And Warmth lifts the drear - of another working day.
