child's writing

stone face silence ignores me crying
walk away footsteps
there's a light where I'm sleeping
there's blood on the sheets
there's screams on the audio
there's bats in the attic
and no friends at the funerals we go to

she ran around her cotton candied gurney
her bad
and her nightgown dragged her down when it wrapped around
her body
you can suppress her body
but never her madness
and never her mad laughter
and she forever shivers and snickers
because you looked straight through her
and then ran to your lover
and you knew it wasn't right it never felt right
it felt like snakes biting
it felt like a child's writing
scrawled and broken
you were never strong
you were always wrong
