Peaceful Pretty Pools of Fuzzy Fading Fire

A wispy little river
In a hollow meadow
Bubbling down a brook
Too weak for undertow
But it doesn’t exist
And you sit by river’s side
Thinking you’d be happy
By this peaceful ocean’s bride

But as you sit and think
You wonder ‘bout your life
For the millionth time
It makes no sense, you tried
And the brook can’t take away
You, your pent up fires

All the worry in your world
And all the pointlessness you face
All the hurt it’s caused you
And every other place
Everywhere you look
Another broken dream
Lost children with dirty faces
Let out hollow screams
But you’re sitting in a meadow
In such a peaceful place
Why do all these problems
Still show their ugly face?
It’s cus you won’t escape this life
No matter how far you run
Only one can make it heal
And for that you are the one
