Midnight Forest

The moon shines brightly,
over the forest
filled with life.

A bobcat stalked it's prey.
A deer protected its young.
A hawk screeched into the night,
A rabbit was nibbling on some grass,
A beetle was secretly moving on the ground.

The swift breeze blew past the trees,
The leaves whispered to each other,
The roots gathered life inside the soil,
The flowers hung out with a friend,
The weeds began their cruel game,
The dirt slept quietly.
