My Friend
My friend who walks by my side,
I know he’s broken.
I know he wants to confide,
He has so much that is unspoken.
I know he cries his heart out,
Just to see her once more.
I know without a doubt,
He misses that whore.
He’s a fragment of what he once was,
Show’s no emotion on his face.
Has changed in everything he does,
But he’s kept his grace.
I want to hold him to my chest,
Tell him it’ll be okay,
Stop him feeling depressed,
Tell him I won’t go away.
I’ll look after who he’s become,
I’ll stop him feeling grim,
I’ll take away what makes him numb,
All because I still love him.
I know he’s broken.
I know he wants to confide,
He has so much that is unspoken.
I know he cries his heart out,
Just to see her once more.
I know without a doubt,
He misses that whore.
He’s a fragment of what he once was,
Show’s no emotion on his face.
Has changed in everything he does,
But he’s kept his grace.
I want to hold him to my chest,
Tell him it’ll be okay,
Stop him feeling depressed,
Tell him I won’t go away.
I’ll look after who he’s become,
I’ll stop him feeling grim,
I’ll take away what makes him numb,
All because I still love him.
