Yesterday's Paper

She'll worry about tomorrow but smile when she sees the sun.
The colours of the morning sky sooth her wildest thoughts in one.
By the parting of the clouds, she'll be strong 'till the day is done.
The shadows whisper quietly, she sees that all stars are gone.

The next day brings wonder
In many different parts
She feels it's brushed under
The carpet like her heart

“Take my hand and make me beautiful”
She cries out to the fires
Colour this world this world in black and white
To extinguish the liars

If I told you I saw you
When your day was bad
You'd tell me it wasn't true
But you would look quite sad

Yesterday's paper, lies behind the radio
You never bought a TV, you'd never use it anyhow
'Cause you prefer to listen, to every single show
It's different, and a trade mark that's you, now.

(Okay it changes person like halfway through but I think it adds to the character... What do you think?)
