The Traveling Leaf

These days
They stay.
The sky falls on the wind blown leaf
Travels to the East
I saw it crackle with disease
Swallowed, I did
Walked along the signs
I was blind
I was stupid
I don't deserve it
The leaf stayed there
For 100 years
And was nourished
By all its peers
No! No!
It cries
Yes! When rain is dry
Feels like it has spies
To go west felt best
And crinkle over time
The leaf stayed there
For 100 years
And was nourished
By all its peers
Could not cry
Could not lie
Liked it
Didn't know why
Ate own soul, ate own soul
And liked it
And its peers left
Leaf cried and the years passed by.
