Fragile

How long
Can she hold out
Can she endure
Before her fragile world
Shudders violently
Crumbling into oblivion
Sinking deeper into a dark emptiness
He tries to keep her holding on
Tries to stitch up
What he can never fix
An unaccepted reality
"Please don't give up," her silence screams
She's fallen,
Breaking
Running to escape from herself
And as he reaches for her hand
She looks up
A silent tear rolling down a porcelain cheek
He whispers the words
She longs to hear
"You're not alone,
I've got you, dear."
