Townlife

The sun is gone,
the stars are out,
everything is still.

When a car goes by,
I start to sigh,
the town-lights all turn on.

Roadside lamps,
and house-side lights,
and headlights shining through.
Suddenly with no delay,
All thoughts turn to you.

A click of a switch,
and without another inch,
the reflection covers the window,
and the dark in no longer there.
