Straight from a fairy tale?

Hey mommy,
Hey daddy.
Wasn't I your princess?
Straight out of a fairy tale?
But, not like sleeping beauty,
Or at least I thought.
Then you found out,
My little deep dark secret.
You found out I wasn't straight,
Or in your mind, out of a fairy tale.
You used to tuck me into bed,
And whisper that you loved me.
Now I'm in the attic,
Crying for your help.
Said you'd keep my secret,
Nor would you tell,
You just locked me in this cell.
Said it's for the best,
No one will ever know.
Said you'd move away,
Far as can go.
I found this little tape recorder,
I thought to leave a message.
So many nails on the floor though,
I tripped and lost my balance.
So when the doorbell rang,
And my best friend was at the door.
You stood there shocked,
For you didn't see this coming.
She asked for me, waited for a reply.
You took her up to this attic of mine.
Found me covered in blood,
Oh, I was so pale.
Didn't suspect this was a horrible fairy tale.
My best friend rushed to my side,
As you two rushed out the door.
Now I'm in this casket,
They're opening the door.
I see my best friend,
She's looking through to me.
I was at my heaven spot,
Staring down at her.
She was whispering
"But.. I loved her.."
I could see the tears,
falling from her face.
Her face was bright red,
And winter took its place.
I was pale white though,
No more blood rushing through my vains.
She looked up to heaven,
"You're in a better place."
As she put a rose down next to me,
She cried out in pain.
"I'll always remember you.
And never forget your name."
She kissed me on my forehead,
"You'll always be from a fairy tale.
I thought a kiss would wake you,
I only wish it could.
For I will always miss you."
She stepped away from me.
Tears falling from her face.
This is December,
Don't forget my name.
