Makes No Difference

Lights of happenstance drown my sight-
Whirring sirens of Yesterday’s Child-
Back when you were Living Death-
Coming undone without me-
The hazard I’ve lived with for century’s past,
The mockery of a life so Torn,
Bathed in the blood of an orphaned coupling-

Blue-
Your eyes were bright-
Liquid fire- Bottled nitrate-
The way they sparkled;
How you hated when we said that-
The weather is less fair than it’s ever been,
Because your eyes have closed-

A form once- A life-
Sinewy- Strong-
The delight of Youth, Vigor-
That once held me and the world-
Protected from the Raping-
The world has darkened into Deathly shades-
Your body lies Cold, Lifeless now-

Once in open compassion,
The innocent Kisses, Hugs-
Now dawns a new age of Uncertainty, Confusion-
I ask myself daily for the Reason-
Why you left behind-
A sweeter life you held- Was nurtured-
You were everything to me- To us all-

You left me to walk the lonely road-
The darkest path of Regret, Blame-
I still dream I could have stopped you!
The sinking in your heart,
The pain on your face-
A memory of my deepest Pain-
The day I lost you- I lost you forever-

Someday-
Someplace-
We’ll meet again when flesh means nothing-
And I won’t question- Won’t say a thing-
The grievous way you left makes No difference-
When I next see you,
Makes All the difference to me!
