Nightmares In The Darkness
With bodies dark as night and eyes as dark as coal
The Night Mare is something dark and cold
People sleeping in the dead of night,
Might die of fright
For they did wrong and so they shall pay
The Night Mare’s toll is here to stay
Screams echo through the empty room as another victim has seen his doom
Should he act and change this course
Or should he not act and leave of course
You hear the scream,
You hear the voice
But nothing wakes you from your sleep
Crashing and banging through the night
But you shall never see the fright
For you shall die of fear tonight
Another moon,
Another day
The victim begins to swoon
He didn’t act upon his dream
For he figured there was nothing unseen
Though he was wrong so he found
Never more will he act so profound
The family rests from mourning
They knew it was to come
They never showed discomfort with his rowdy ways
Though now they see his wrong ness clearer every day
The daughter begins to cry
She loved him dearly
Like any lover would
He was her soul mate
So they for told
The blood stained the walls
Her wrist were crimson red
Her body was so cold she was surely dead
Grieving came once again
Both the children were dead
Their love so powerful as it was
Could save neither from the doom
Lurking in the shadows the Night Mare shifts its gaze
It has had enough foolishness for one day
As it leaves it makes a mark
As it wished it would
The father would have killed him
If not for this remark
The Night Mare is something dark and cold
People sleeping in the dead of night,
