Winters End, Summers Revenge

The trees are losing their hollow beauty
My heart is still cold despite the new sun
The sunlight shows scars with incessant cruelty
The winter is over, the war has begun

Flowers grow and dreams die
Hopes that were never alive
As the day swallows the night
Wither in the morning light

The sun highlights wounds and mutations
Hidden by frostbite and wind beaten skin
The times we could hide in without complications.
Are taken so cruelly when summer begins

Hopes fade and fears grow
Forgotten bruises start to show
As the sun begins to glow
Our joy is melted with the snow
