The Girl With The Broken Smile

There was the girl with the broken smile,
She had been waiting for a while.
He was playing with her heart,
Laughing while she fell apart.

While walking to the school,
In the middle of her fake friends.
She was feeling like a tool,
Silently praying for it to end.

She was the girl with the broken smile,
The one with long black hair and brown eyes.
She was trapped inside his lies,
Without asking herself why.

She was breaking inside,
So she did what she had in mind.
Disappearing through the crowd,
Cinderella was not found.

Took a knife out of the drawer,
Placing it right above her skin.
Trying to get away from sorrow,
Her last thought ended on him.

The blood came and then it fell,
On her white dress was a little drop.
Painful enough for her to tell,
The prince begging for her to stop.

Slipping away from consciousness,
Slowly she laid into the floor.
Before entering in a peaceful rest,
She heard a scream outside the door.

When he got inside the room,
Couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
He never thought it would be so soon,
Always believed that she was kidding.

Whispering “I love you” in her ear,
Hoping that she began to stir.
She couldn’t already be that far,
Then his eyes began to tear.
She just turned true his biggest fear,
Killing herself to be the star.

He held her tightly next to him,
Asking why she had to go.
A voice inside his head telling him,
It was his fault, he broke her apart.
And he should have known.

Now he was brave enough to say,
“I wish you have lived one more day.
Because you were the girl with the broken smile,
And I never meant to make you cry.”

She was the girl with the broken smile,
He never meant to make her cry.
She was the girl with the broken heart,
He never meant to let her die.
