Seasons Pass

Its spring,
nature is slowly waking,
and you're there to witness it all.
Two seasons before the fall...

The snow is melting away,
and wetting your boots.
Spying on flowers,
eyeing the newborn leaves...

Now its summer.
Day and night do not change.
Its light and warm,
and the rain is white...

But not all is well,
for as summer passes on,
your heart falls frail.
Fading like the warmth...

And now its autumn..
First it starts with vivid colours,
then they die, are gone,
and won't return till after winter...

The harvest is overwith.
Tears have been shed,
and the old is being set behind,
to make way for the new...

Alas, its winter.
And the cold cuts to the bone,
aswell to your heart, mind...
Snowflowers decorate the windows like lace...

Pasttimes dulling like rusty knives,
never good enough to cut you free,
from everything you want to leave.
Wait for spring, it'll be thy saviour...
