Locked Away
With every breath
the dark closes in
and every time you blink
you feel the burn of your sin
you look around
and wonder how you got here
then you remember
you've been drawing closer for year upon year
you pause
a familiar face in the gloom
it shatters
like glass
echoing your doom
that face was a delicate bloom
a passing glimpse of the outside world
many more pass
and many more come
and their motion
leaves you numb
yet still you sit there
locked forever away
locked endlessly
locked without a say
in the dark
in the black
in the horror
and the shadows
that overhead loom
you sit there
locked in your lonely black tomb
the dark closes in
and every time you blink
you feel the burn of your sin
you look around
and wonder how you got here
then you remember
you've been drawing closer for year upon year
you pause
a familiar face in the gloom
it shatters
like glass
echoing your doom
that face was a delicate bloom
a passing glimpse of the outside world
many more pass
and many more come
and their motion
leaves you numb
yet still you sit there
locked forever away
locked endlessly
locked without a say
in the dark
in the black
in the horror
and the shadows
that overhead loom
you sit there
locked in your lonely black tomb
