Moment

Then the moment passed.
It was a moment, nothing more, nothing less.
A moment filled with neither words nor action.
Just silence and the heavy stroke of time.

But in that moment something took place,
And although neither person knew what that was,
It became significant.

So in a desperate moment those two people became entwined.
Through despair and something much deeper.
They had no words to describe the sudden necessity of another's flesh on their own,
It was too complex for words.

So they settled for Love.
