Inhibition.

I don’t even know how to finish this.
My thoughts, my words,
The travel from neurons
Not far from my waiting mouth,
And stop there,
Quivering on the tip of my tongue.
I’m sure I have the right things to say,
Hiding up there in recesses of grey matter,
But they refuse to come out and answer you
Won’t let me question you.
I need something to
Loosen my tongue
Something to make me
Uninhibited.
A substance to let me
Speak freely and forget all consequences.
Make my mind a haze of colors and beautiful words
Let songs pour from my lips
Honey in the air
Swirling around you and me.
Let me speak of dreams,
Of sensations,
Of feelings supreme
That charge particles
And make my nerve endings dance.
Let me speak.
