Mother Dearest

Mother Dearest,
Where have you gone?
We've been waiting
For so long.

Crying;
Dying;
We wantyou here.
Hold us; Kiss us;
Relieve our fears.

Why did you do this?
How could you be so
Selfish?
To leave us the burden--
Sell this:
Our lives.

Memories splatter
Like paint on plaster
Of late night beatings
Morning screamings

You claimed ignorance
We cried temperance.
Yet you never heard us.
No one assured us.

Now you're gone
We can't say we missed you
Have your fun
And leave us abused to
Rot.
