Lonely Again

Lonely again
Aaron Ducker

Goodbye wonderful, goodbye dreams
Take away my life and cut off all the seams
I’ll just stay standing where we stood
I’m a real boy now, but my heart is wood
My heart was stone and now its cold
You were the one who would grow old
And be with me in my ripe age
I can not stand in this lowered cage
I have no heart, I have no thought
I can’t replicate the love you brought

And now I’m lonely again
Reaching to find a friend
But they’re eluding my grasp
I cannot grab I cannot clasp
And there nothing left for me
Go away, there’s nothing left to see… but me

I am empty, I am cold
Playing cards but cannot fold
My tears are falling now
I cannot stand, I cannot bow
I just finished my final song
But it went on far too long
I needed you to finish it
Wanted to relinquish it
But I can’t play this game
Without you its not the same

And now I’m lonely again
Reaching to find a friend
But they’re eluding my grasp
I cannot grab I cannot clasp
And there nothing left for me
Go away, there’s nothing left to see… but me

I’m in my place, I’m in my shell
I’m living in a living hell
I cannot cry I cannot scream
I cannot try to go and dream
You helped me sleep at night
To think that I could be holding you so tight
But now you’ve left me the dark
You touched me, you made your mark
And now I’m blind to life
But you left me in my strife

And now I’m lonely again
Reaching to find a friend
But they’re eluding my grasp
I cannot grab I cannot clasp
And there nothing left for me
Go away, there’s nothing left to see… but me

And now I’m lonely again
Reaching to find a friend
But they’re eluding my grasp
I cannot grab I cannot clasp
And there nothing left for me
Go away, there’s nothing left to see… but me
