Forget The Light

The darkness swirls and dances around
The music is there, a noiseless sound
A silky breath escapes from my being
A worthless life without a meaning

A coiled pride so damp and cold
A voice inside to mourn and to scold
The hate that leaks from every pore
And blankets all forgotten lore

A cry for help, a shivered laugh
The unimportant, forgotten, lonely path
A barren road unvisited so long
The happiness gone, no room, so wrong

The darkness swirls and dances dead
No music left, an empty head
The blood runs chilled throughout my being
This broken life still has no meaning
