Unfilled.

Floating perilously through space and time,
I remember a time when you were mine.
The feel of your skin under my touch,
staying under control became too much.
My love was as rare as a violet sky in a mid-day sun
A lover where time was cut short before it begun.

Too soon that dismal day came,
Bringing with it a cloud of disarray.
Each fleeting moment came faster than the one before
The next one becoming more erratic,
The locomotion's being so sporadic.

No matter how much our love was alive,
The time we had together had ultimately died.
The lethal venom passed through the IV's,
Leaving nothing in that room, but a solemn me.
His eyes lay glazed and morbidly still,
Leaving a hole in my heart, that will forever remain unfilled.
