Bite the Bullet

I'm as cold as Hell, a Hell too near
I cannot see, I cannot hear
I'll let the tiger smell my fear
So stab and twist the blade, my dear

The warmth has left my skin
There's no virtue left, just sin
I've let my bad side win
I've let the frostbite in

Emotions are like people, in the sense they can be killed
But they're also like zombies when their hunger's unfulfilled
Then they are like ants, they'll just build and build and build
But, unlike a glass of milk, you'll lose it if they're spilled

Here I am once more, being chilled by your cold shoulder
You kicked me after I stayed down, when my heart could only smolder
But this is the beauty, cause I'm a weird beholder:
I don't care, I don't need air, it only makes me colder

I laid to rest while freezing, your frost creeping up my nose
My whole body grew numb, I rolled in your snow without clothes
I gave up yet again, but this time I'll keep my repose
This time I won't save myself, so just watch me decompose

Now my best friends are killers, and we hang out in the morgue
Some people call us crazy, but, Hell, we're never bored
Maybe they're a menace, but my peace has been restored-
Thanks to your help I've done it, eat my heart as your reward

My life is over, but that's alright
Cause it's all over, I can't fight-
The frozen darkness, the moonless night
Cause you are gone, so I won't bite-
The bullet's steel... please take my sight
The bullet's steel... please wrong this right
