Fading Away Forever

Running through the forest,
passing by the trees.
Waiting for you,
laughing, breathing.

I spotted you,
chasing after me.
I smiled,
turned and ran.

I could hear you,
getting closer and closer.
Getting louder,
with every step.

You catch up to me,
your hands on my waist.
Laughing, breathing,
I'm lifted into the air.

You set me down,
and look at me.
I'm looking back,
but you see sorrow.

I kiss your lips softly,
before I step back.
My figure's fading,
and it'll soon be gone.

At first, you think it's funny,
laughing, breathing.
I won't leave,
will I?

But then you start to see,
I'm fading away.
And why?
Only you would know.

You try to hold me,
never let go.
But it's too late now,
you can't help me.

Fading, dying,
never coming back.
This pain from you was too much,
and now, I won't return.
