The Enemy Comes To Steal, Kill, and Destroy

You’re a vine,
Twisting around my open window
Blocking the Son
From giving me growth.
It’s always night with you.
I look around anxiously,
Unaware of what to do.
I can’t keep this mind from thinking of you.
The pieces are too big, unable to chew.
I’m unable to see clearly, world’s in a skew.
My thoughts are wobbly,
I’m ill-equipped for your influence.
I’m walking on thin ice
Your hands won’t rescue me,
Only cause my demise.
You want my touch, not my heart.
I can’t keep those two apart.
The faucet is leaking and your catching the excess,
Drowning me with thoughts of lust.
Stopping this torment is a must.
Entertaining those words would cause my demise.
I must maintain my heart
to receive my heavenly prize.
