Don't Go.

His grip so tight,
Holding my hand
He holds me with all his might,
He doesn't want me to go.

The room starts spinning,
It's getting out of control.
Now the lights are dimming,
And there's nothing that I can do.

I feel his breathing go down my neck,
As he pulls me closer.
I can't let go just yet,
There's so much I want to do.

I start to feel numb,
Losing all feeling.
So, selfish, so dumb.
There's nothing I can do.

He mumbles "Don't go, Stay here."
In my ear so softly.
"I'll always be near."
I manage to say in a weak, broken voice.

I lay in the bed,
Leaving everything behind.
So cold and so dead.
I slip into an endless sleep.

"Good night, my one true love."
He kisses my head.
