Long Haired Beauty

Long Haired Beauty

The long haired beauty sat still.
Her eyes doused in salty tears of regret.
The occasional whimper was heard sounding out a ghostly chill.
How could she ever forget?

She whimpered as her mind raced with thoughts.
About how her lover was romancing with HER.
Never did he think he would ever be caught.
Now everything just seemed as a blur.

She glanced around, seeing the cold steel of a knife glisten.
She smiled to herself.
Surely it would be the one to listen.

Balancing the blade between her pasty hands.
She wondered if he would miss her.
Now the thought just seemed bland.

A lone tear ran down her cheek and glistened in moonlight.
And then she felt as though it where her duty.
"I love you" Was the last thing to be heard.
For there on the floor, laid the dead long haired beauty.
