Hopeless
God has gifted me with the breath of life,
And therefore I should be happy,
But it seems my lips no longer know how to curve into a smile,
And my heart droops as my eyes look at the floor
For my cheerful voice holds my neck up no longer.
I have found myself most recently leaking salty droplets from my eyes.
I am disconnected from the joy I once felt when I was living in blissful ignorance.
