Stranger than Fiction

Is it better if I leave without a word.
Or take a chance and hope to be heard?

I’ve never seen the world as you see it
Full of colors and shades, hues and stars
You always found a way to smile
Your smile was catchy, life was made happier

I’m tired of trying to rhyme for the masses
Hope they’ll run and make their passes
As a prisoner to their cell
As am I to this hell

Of my own emotional addiction

I can’t buy my drug on the street
No, but it really knocks me off my feet
Sadness if my addiction
Happiness is just fiction

We are addicted to our pasts
As we are addicted to our futures
We can never let live
And can never let go.

Fact is stranger than fiction.
