The Floyd Fans

Who are we?

We are the bricks that formed The Wall
We stood by Pink and watched it fall

The band we’re in plays different tunes
We live on the dark side of the moon

The ring of the Division Bell,
Our calling; only time will tell

If you will choose to fall or fly
The smiles you’ll give and tears you’ll cry

We balance on the biggest wave
And race towards an early grave
We live for today, but are gone for tomorrow
The sweet smell of the greatest sorrow

We know money is a crime
And everything is gone with time

Occasionally glancing at the rain
Wondering who we all should blame

Our dads have flown across the sea
Leaving just a memory

We’ve only found the same old fears
And we wish all of you were here

Come on you targets for faraway laughter
You strangers, you legends, and all of you martyrs

We’ll tell you true and tell you why
The kids committed suicide

Don’t touch the desert with your hands

Outside The Wall, they’ve gathered in bands
We’ll tell you what’s behind the wall
If you can get past the gun in the hall

We’ve said hello and we’ve said goodbye
To the empty spaces and the deep blue sky
Is there anybody out there still?

There is no room upon the hill

Hey you, do you know what we’ve become?
Simply put, we are comfortably numb

You’d better run to catch the flight
Or the worms will eat you overnight

And like it or not, the show must go on
We’ll make sure you can remember the songs

You’ve been watching far too much TV
But this syringe will help you see

And as the two suns set in the West
You’ll realize that your mother knows best
It’s a great day for freedom; keep your light within
But tell me something: Is this where we came in?

“There is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact it’s all dark.”
