See, a Pook-Pook-Pook

This silly black bird-
Poor silly black bird-
Lets out a frightful cry,
To warn his mates,
Of the black cat nearby.

This silly black bird-
Poor little black bird-
His warning cry was dull.
His mates could not hear him
And perished at site.

What is a black bird-
My, my, you poor blackbird-
Without a valiant cry?
Not much of a blackbird
At all.
