Gypsy Dance

Spark of gold,
Splash of flame
Twirl in that dance
which hath no name.

Where magic meets
this warm-blooded world,
Fire and flesh
spun taught and swirled.

Purple, green,
Brown and black
Once you stumble in
you can't come back.

They'll steal your heart
with a bat of the eyes.
Something in that face
can't help but mesmerize.

Beware of your step,
Watch closely your soul,
Lest you find yourself caught
in those eyes of deepest coal.

They'll hold you steadfast
in an embracing trance,
Beware that deadly
gypsy dance.
