Sirens: Part III - Oceanlore

On a cliff, above the waves

Is where the siren spends her days

She sits and sings beneath the sky

Luring sailors with her cry

A mermaid sits on the rocks below

Ginger hair and skin like snow

Listening to the siren's song

Waiting for prey to come along

And in the caves off to the side

There lives a creature so despised

It never sees the light of day

He who nears it will have his life to pay

In the air around these shores

A spirit watches as he soars

The many creatures that prey on men

He sees the ship aproaching then

A bashful sailor seeks the coast

To escape the storm is what he wants most

But what awaits him near the shore?

The flesh-loving creatures of human lore.
