In A World Of Hate, How Can We Love?

I wake up in the morning and take a look in the mirror,
Here’s what I see…

Right after breakfast,
Turn on the TV.
MSN, ABC, FOX11,
It’s the same damn thing.

War in Iraq, racial discretion,
Conformity, and political obsession.

Look at what we’ve come to.

The nicest towns neighbor sexual predators,
Behind closed doors, children are beaten.
Kept in cages and chambers.

Protestors want peace,
As war begins to increase.
Politicians fight for office,
While civilians plead for justice.

Our economy is falling apart,
Do what you want now,
Because we’re falling real short.

I’m sorry I have to say this,
But there will never be peace.

There’s too much hate,
Too much karma,
Too much at stake.
No one wants to back down,
No one wants to go under,
No one wants to drown.

Stop dreaming.
Come back to reality.
Harmony is perfect,
Sadly we are not.
This isn’t Utopia,
This is life.

So let me ask you this…
