Silence, exept for
The cruching of autumn leaves
Underneath his feet
The rain starts to fall
She just stands, the tears rolling
Down her face again
Forgotten, she sits
Halfway up the tree she climbed
And she smiles there
Day gives way to night
And still the snow lies untouched
In the empty garden
The sun shines brightly
But she doesn't care because
It's raining in her heart
Dad walks out the door
And she looks down, back as this
A child left behind
If she had to choose
Between her love and the sun
Night would never end
There will be some more
When I come back, and write them
Just like this last one
The cruching of autumn leaves
Underneath his feet
The rain starts to fall
She just stands, the tears rolling
Down her face again
Forgotten, she sits
Halfway up the tree she climbed
And she smiles there
Day gives way to night
And still the snow lies untouched
In the empty garden
The sun shines brightly
But she doesn't care because
It's raining in her heart
Dad walks out the door
And she looks down, back as this
A child left behind
If she had to choose
Between her love and the sun
Night would never end
There will be some more
When I come back, and write them
Just like this last one
