Hues Shouldn't Bleed

Not every hole is meant to be filled,
and yes, sometimes I make them in your canvas
just to see how thin you've stretched yourself.
look at all those colors you used to radiate;
and now you're black and white.

Hey beautiful, what maimed you?
What took your light and drained you?
Where's all the light that use to shine from you?
I swear I can still see it behind your glossed over gray eyes.
Can you feel me sharing my light?

There is too much of everything under your nose
and too much of nothing behind your eyes
and I want to know, where the fuck is your rainbow?
Why are you a puddle of murky tones when
you are so cold with your words?

Hey beautiful, what maimed you?
What took your light and drained you?
Where's all the light that use to shine from you?
I swear I can still see it behind your glossed over gray eyes.
Can you feel me sharing my light?

And I know you are seeking warmth from the love of everyone.
But there are not enough of them to fill you
if there isn't one with more patience than their acceptance
to stay for more than one day to fix your streaks.

Hey beautiful, what maimed you?
What took your light and drained you?
Where's all the light that use to shine from you?
I swear I can still see it behind your glossed over gray eyes.
Can you feel me sharing my light?

And I have a plan to repair you so your hues won't bleed.
And I've been turning your grays to bright,
been bringing you consummate mornings from lackluster nights.
When you are next to me, you are best in me.
