The End of Infinity

We promised each other forever

Tears shed silently
against a cotton heaven
Frames lay face down
Stands shooting uneasily up
From their wooden grounds
Hiding from view
From mind
To sane the distrustful truth
That the past will never leak
Into my future

Time drew its gavel
and separated our clasping hands
our words float softly towards the southern winds
and our footsteps draw out of line
you in front
while I sit alone
In the damp dusty theater
watching the videos held
by the little girl
Who tries to dance inside my eyes
Where the tears stand prepared
She knows the secrets of how it all began
and whispers them in my ears
Effortlessly tugging at soft rain
That pours from red shot skies.

All that I hear
are the sounds of the present,
creeping into the mirages of past mists
and the burning photos flash quick storms
Of awkward conversations and painful smiles
drawn upon our lives

We promised each other forever
But the leaves and snow fell
and soon the white curtains
Were ripped away
to reveal our broken lies

this is my first poem I've ever written
not like...currently,
I mean, I wrote this one probably two years ago
and I'm still tweaking it...so comments/critizism is completely welcome.
