Killing Loneliness

I stare into the sky,
The clouds so pefectly white,
The sky so beautifully blue.
I look down,
From my perch on this cliff,
This winter wasteland.
The woods so empty,
All the trees are dead,
All the animals have fled.
The winter always reminds me of all the pain.

We stood there,
In that empty space,
All alone,
And gave me a kiss
To Kill Loneliness with,
You said.

Now I stand here,
You have gone so far away.
Summer has past,
The winter is here.
The sky so alive,
Like you were that day.
The woods so empty, so dead
Like my heart is without you.

I won't stop thinking,
I can't forget
That day.
You stood in front of me.
Killing Loneliness together,
You said.

Memories, like swords,
Pierce into my heart,
Never letting the pain fade.
I hoped that,
Since you were gone,
My pain would go with you.

The painful pleasure,
I got from that single, chaste kiss,
Leaves me breathless now.
So far away,
You'll be killing Loneliness
With this memory
Years from now,
You said.

Killing Loneliness
You said,
Always Killing the Loneliness
That engulfs my soul,
I will never forget this.
I'll be killing loneliness
With memories of you,
Forever.
Or so you said.
