“Hope For The Ages”

In the cold, clear night.
I’m consumed by the moon.
Contrasting the absence,
Greater than sun by the day.
Stars in all their beauty,
Dim in its glow.
Full, or a crescent.
I’m speechless the same.
When its not there,
The image remains.
In times of eclipse,
By an ignorant world.
Fade by the shadow,
Just glimpsed before dawn.
Inspire the creature,
That lives through me.
Altering its mood,
Perception has changed.
Rising the tide,
Lost in the circles,
Together find harmony.
Needing each other,
In ways overlooked.
Hope for the ages.
By breaking the night.
Dancing forever,
Black skies lonely doom.
Can I be your earth,
Will you be my moon?
