She Doesn't Care

She never cared
About the stares
She brushed away their insults
She never noticed their glares

All she cared for
was the razor she saved
All she wanted was happiness
From the scars she made

She never cared about the poison
The bleach sent down her throat
No one, not me, nor her family
Saw her stash the pills in her coat

She threw flowers at her mother's grave
On the tenth December 22nd she gave
She never really knew
That her heart and soul would cave

The depression hit her hard
Like a rock in the lake
She used a razor for relief
Of the pain she couldn't take

After the ounces of blood were gone
And the bleach was put back into the laundry's foam
She would sit in the darkness of her room
Crying all alone.

She told me about it last summer
And I screamed at her, not letting the tears fall on my face
I slapped her once
When anorexia almost took her place

The next fall, she called me
And said she stopped
I then almost cried
Because I was so shocked

The next December hit her again
Like a bullet on glass
She picked up the razor
And knew she wouldn't last

She stopped soon enough
When she watched MCR's video diary again
Gerard and Frank calming her
Along with Mikey and the band

And now March has hit
So far, her depression hasn't shown
And I want to keep it that way
Until I can thank the band properly for saving her
And give Gerard a black rose.
