Once Upon A Time And Happily Ever After

Once upon a time and happily ever after
Is how I want my life
To start and end
But there will be no "Once upon a time"
Nor "Happily ever after"
For sadly my life doesn't run that way
So all I can do
Is dream of these both
And hope some day these will come magically true
