The beauty of everything

I went through hell and back,
in one spare moment of time.
I closed my eyes and rain poured down,
I saw heaven falling right before my eye.

And the face of the earth shook beneath my feet,
the sky turned black and blue.
Memories of snow and laughter,
flashes of butterflies in green.

The beauty found in misery;
Irony of everything now gone.
Unappreciated love of life,
drowned in passion for darkness.

A shock of horror near my heart,
waves of faint screaming in my ear.
Chaos empowered in loss,
broken on the edge.

A single tear in a river of regrets.
The world fastforward in rewind.
Soft flutter brushed my cheek,
awoken by world's beauty.

I'm alive.
